How To Turn Your iPhone/iPod into Ultimate Portable Karaoke Machine

As many of my friends would know, I’m in love with singing Karaoke.

It’s a great way to destress, socialize and keep up with my Chinese.

So I’ve always want to be able to have a portable karaoke machine.

With my 16GB iPhone 3G and this nifty little app that I’m going to recommend, Karaoke nirvana has arrived for me.

1. First you will need to have an jailbroken iPhone.

2. Then you will need to go to Cydia.

3. And look for this app called MxTube. Check out this review. Essentially it is a super easy app that allows you to search for videos on Youtube and download them onto your iPhone for playback. It is a native app so it works with the in-built Youtube player. It also saves both the High-Res and Low-Res version of the video and allows you to stream preview before downloading.

4. Once you have that app, make sure to add the “KTV” word to your searches so that you will find the videos with the Lyrics and synchronized scrolling text color.

Good right? So now I’m progressively downloading all my favorite tunes and compiling a large portable system.

I’ve finally achieve Car-aoke capability too: being able to view the KTV song while driving and singing.
