Shai Agassi – The 2009 TIME 100 – TIME

September 22nd, 2009
Agassi is the closest we’ve seen to a Steve Jobs of clean tech — visionary, technologist, businessman. What’s it like working with him? Exhilarating, exhausting, challenging, gratifying.

Absolutely. Just listen to Agassi’s Ted Talk.

Amazing explanation of the economics of electric cars that would matter to people on the ground.

I also like his explanation of eMiles. It follows Moore’s law and that’s what I love so much about a tech entrepreneur going into the electric car market. They think not just about selling cars but the economics of it that are classic to tech markets.

I’m really excited about the proposition that Better Place brings. I’ve not seen an idea this big, at such a scale for a long long time. No wonder Shai raised $200m for his seed round!
